Strategy Direction of the Quality Assurance System of Metrology according to the Change of Sensor and Measurement Technology
Wan-Ho Cho, Sung Jung Joo, Hyung Kew Lee
J. Korean Soc. Precis. Eng. 2021;38(12):917-925.

Sensors and measurements are the most basic means of collecting physical data, and the measurement results should be trusted and utilized. The management system of the future measurement network based on the next-generation sensor has limitations in responding to the current quality assurance system due to changes in the use of sensors, an increase in observation points, and changes in the method of using measurement results. Due to this reason, the measurement strategy direction should be investigated to ensure the reliability of measurement data. The basic approach can be summarized as follows: change in the viewpoint from hardware devices to measured data themselves, openness to novel type of devices, and removal of uncertainties by the process of sharing the basis of reliability through clear and efficient information exchange. In principle, the direction should be targeted for novel sensors to remove the barriers to enter the industry and market, based on the continuity with the current measurement standard system and traceability to the International System of Units.

Development of Free Fall Drop Tester for Electronic Components
In Jun Jung, Jae Young Jang, Dong-Kil Shin
J. Korean Soc. Precis. Eng. 2020;37(12):889-896.
Published online December 1, 2020
DOI: https://doi.org/10.7736/JKSPE.020.054
In this study, a free-fall drop tester was studied to test the impact reliability of small electronic components. The electronic component was fixed to the drop table and the table was fallen along guide rods. The impact energy was adjusted by the initial drop height, and the impact duration time was adjusted by inserted soft layers under the drop table. Table acceleration was achieved in the form of a half-sine that conforms to international standards. The developed tester was evaluated by a small printed circuit board. It was observed that the developed tester was fully utilized for the impact reliability assessment of electronic components.

Development of Bending Lifetime Tester for Flexible OLEDs
Ji-Yeon Han, Jae-Hyun Lee
J. Korean Soc. Precis. Eng. 2018;35(4):451-456.
Published online April 1, 2018
DOI: https://doi.org/10.7736/KSPE.2018.35.4.451
The applicability of flexible OLED devices has been expanding to rollable or foldable displays and lighting. At this time, a system to measure the durability of flexible OLEDs needs to be developed to successfully launch flexible OLEDs in future electronic devices. In this paper, we develop a bending lifetime tester to measure the performance of flexible OLEDs by measuring the luminance of the device in real-time during the bending test. A fixed distance between the bent OLEDs and detector during the bending test improves the accuracy of the measured brightness in real time. This bending tester can measure the lifetime of flexible OLEDs with a mean deviation of less than 0.23% over a temperature range of -30 to 80℃. This performance is sufficient to measure the accelerated lifetime test of flexible OLEDs for reliability engineering.
