From the past, productivity improvement has been a problem to be solved, and various methods have been continuously developed. Recently, the demand for electric vehicles has increased along with the domestic and international environmental policies. Researches on the electrode production facilities have been actively conducted to increase the productivity of secondary batteries. Dispensers required for bonding the separator of the secondary battery, the cathode material and the anode material are also increasing in demand. The dispensers that spray a certain amount of adhesive quickly contribute to productivity improvement. However, Piezo type, which is currently being developed and used widely, has a higher performance than some industry, and its more expensive. In this study, we design a dispenser with lower performance than the conventional piezo type and lower the unit price and analyze the results.

Reactors are needed to produce polymeric polymers as materials for OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode). There are many types of reactors that assist in producing chemical reactions. One type, called a coil type, is a continuous reactor that has many advantages compared to other reactors. It can not only manufacture products continuously, but is cheaper and therefore cost efficient. A continuous coil type reactor was designed and manufactured for this study. A precise flow rate cannot be determined because of the numerous variables. An experimental flow rate is obtained when combining the following information: the valve opening angle, the revolution velocity of the screw and the temperature of the reaction. As a result, the study is considered that people who use this device will refer to this to control flow rate and time for reaction.

Development of Reducer for Generating Facility of Electric Power for Low Noise/vibration
Hyoung Woo Lee, Chul Woo Park
J. Korean Soc. Precis. Eng. 2008;25(11):73-82.
Published online November 1, 2008
A dynamic model of reducer for generating facility of electric power having bevel gear pair and planetary gear train is developed by lumped method. The model accounts for the shaft and bearing flexibilities, gyroscopic effects and the force couplings among the transverse and torsion motions due to gearing. Vibration/noise analysis as well as strength of bevel gear pair and planetary gear train are considered. Exciting forces of high reducer for generating facility of electric power are considered as the mass unbalance of the rotors, misalignment and a function of gear transmission error. A Campbell diagram, in which the excitation sources caused by the mass unbalance of the rotors, misalignment and the transmitted errors of the gearing are considered, shows that, at the operating speed, there are not critical speed.

Hyoung Woo Lee, Myung Ho Bae
J. Korean Soc. Precis. Eng. 2008;25(4):118-126.
Published online April 1, 2008
A new approach to the critical speed calculation of general multi-mesh gear chain system included bevel gear is presented. A transfer matrix model based on Hibner's branch method is developed and the natural properties of the branched rotor system are calculated with using the λ-matrix formulation. A Campbell diagram, in which the excitation sources caused by the mass unbalance of the rotors, misalignment and the transmitted errors of the gearing are considered, shows that, at the neighborhood of the operating speed, there are the two critical speeds amplifying the first mode and the eighth mode.

A Study on Dynamic Characteristics of Induction Motor System
Hyoung Woo Lee
J. Korean Soc. Precis. Eng. 2006;23(5):128-136.
Published online May 1, 2006
To predict the noise and vibration characteristics of induction motor system, it is necessary to develop the mathematical model including all the mechanical elements such as shaft, blower, rotor, fan, bearing, case and mounting parts. Coupling effect between case-mount system and rotor-shaft system including shaft, blower, rotor, fan and bearing is examined. Impact exciting experimentation was done in order to verify vibration model of the induction motor system. From experimental results, we can appreciate that the natural frequencies of induction motor system are in good agrements with analysis.

A Study on Dynamic Characteristics of Gear-System
Hyoung Woo Lee, No Gill Park
J. Korean Soc. Precis. Eng. 2005;22(11):111-117.
Published online November 1, 2005
The vibration problems associated with gear coupled rotors have been the focus of much engineering work. These systems are complex and difficult to analyze in that they have the problems associated with conventional rotors plus those additional problems associated with the gear couplings. This paper examines the problems peculiar to the gear mesh. Because of the meshing action of gears, the elasticity of the gear teeth introduces time-varying stiffness coefficients into the governing equations of motion. This means that system response must be thought of in terms of Mathieu-type equations, where multiple-frequency response occur due to the periodic coefficients. The meshing action of the gears also couples the lateral and torsional gear motions. Gear errors, such as tooth profile and spacing errors, produce forces and torque that excite the system at multiple frequencies, some of which are much higher than shaft rotational speed. To investigate how to the time-varying stiffness in the gear teeth and the gear errors act one the dynamic response of the gear coupled rotors, a three-dimensional dynamic model with lateral-tortional oscillation is developed. The harmonic balance technique is employed to solve this mathieu-type problem.

Program Development for Vibration Performance Evaluation of Powder Transfer Equipment
Hyoung Woo Lee, No Gill Park
J. Korean Soc. Precis. Eng. 2004;21(10):170-179.
Published online October 1, 2004
A vibration model of powder transfer equipment is developed by the lumped parameter method. A Powder transfer equipment does surging motion, bouncing motion and pitching motion. Motion equation becomes decoupling and removed vibration exciting source about pitching motion, and therefore designers presented the optimum design plan to be able to do adjustment with motion trajectory of powder transfer equipment. That is, way for design to be able to do motion trajectory of powder transfer equipment through change of design element as installation position and direction of motor, driving speed, mass unbalance, stiffness coefficient and installation position of support coil spring is presented.
The design results, powder transfer equipment were able to know that fatigue destruction does not occur, and the reason is because maximum stress working on a basket structure is more very than fatigue strength small.

A Study about Way to Decide on Residual Unbalance of Rotor-Bearing system
Hyoung Woo Lee, Dong Han Lee, No Gill Park, In Hwan Kim
J. Korean Soc. Precis. Eng. 2004;21(9):158-166.
Published online September 1, 2004
A new method to measure residual unbalance of rotor - bearing system was proposed. The method which determine residual unbalance based on polar plot and an analytical method which calculates the residual unbalance of the rotor from the vibration response of the Jeffcott rotor are proposed in this study with respect to a real rotor system of which the residual unbalance is unknown. The unbalance eccentricity of the produced experimental model is 3.78 mil, developing the measurement method of the residual unbalance more convenient than the proposed method of ISO and API standard. The proposed method was experimentally compared with the ISO standard, and the two methods were exactly correspondent to each other within an error of 1%.

A Study on Development of Railway Reducer for Low Noise/Vibration
Hyoung Woo Lee, No Gill Park
J. Korean Soc. Precis. Eng. 2004;21(2):130-137.
Published online February 1, 2004
A dynamic model of railway reducer is developed by the lumped parameter method. The model accounts for shafts, bearings flexibilities, gyroscopic effects and the force couplings among the transverse and torsion motions due to gearing.
Vibration/noise analysis as well as strength of gear teeth, and bearing life are considered. Excitation forces of railway reduction are considered as the mass unbalance of the rotors, misalignment and a function of gear transmission error which comes from the modified tooth surface. A campbell diagram, in which the excitation sources caused by the mass unbalance of the rotors, misalignment and the transmitted errors of the gearing are considered, shows that, at the operating speed, there are not the critical speed.
The program which can be used to analyze and predict vibration/noise characteristics by mass unbalance, misalignment and gear transmission error of railway reduction is developed with this system model.
